I placed 4th out of 6 at the NANBF Washington State Natural in the open short class.  Thank you to all who have supported me in this. I am honored to represent what can be done an a plant based diet. Pictures can be seen at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2033202670199.2097111.1248127431

Now, I am enjoying carbs again and back to training. I am also thinking about the next goal I would like to set for myself. I am now focused on improving my Olympic lifting technique, and studying for my Crossfit Level 1 Certification. Stay tuned for what is coming next!

3 Weeks Out!!!

I apologize for not updating more. I have barely been online, as my focus is my next bodybuilding competition. I have been waking up early doing 35 to 40 minutes of cardio in the morning, either running or going up and down 5 flights of stairs. I am limiting my carb count to around 100grams daily, which takes a bit of effort when all plant based proteins have some amount of carbs in them. This is only for two weeks, then carbs may go back up around 200 to 250 depending on my percentage of body fat. And on top of that strength training in the afternoon, then evening cardio, or posing practice. Time to get back to the gym!

7 Weeks Out!!!

I have 49 days until I step onstage again. Last Wednesday, my hydrostatic weighing test determined my current body fat. I came in at 9.3% bodyfat, with 17 lbs of fat. I aim to be around 3% by competition day, so I have my work cut out for me. AM Cardio, afternoon weights, and more evening cardio, here I come!!!
