The 30 Day Whole Food Challenge is on!

Since Monday, August 5th until September 5th, 2013, I am doing a 30 Day Whole Food Challenge. During this time, I am cutting out soy, wheat, oil, sugar, and all other processed junk, and eating a diet of beans, nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and some grains. That means none of my beloved Tofurky products. My goal is to build mass and strength while keeping body fat low. I am following for workout programming, and will be posting measurement updates, as well as food journal info, recipes, pics, and videos here. I am doing this to gain that insight to the true benefits of a whole foods plant-based diet. Too many people think you have to eat soy and wheat to get protein and stay lean as a vegan, I want to prove that invalid as well. For all the people that are afraid to eat soy because of the scary phyto-estrogens, or those who can’t process gluten correctly, this will provide a blueprint of sorts for maintaining a vegan diet without those foods. If you have soy or wheat allergies, are too lazy to make your own food, or are too disinterested to educate yourself on how terrible modern animal agriculture is to the animals, our health, and the environment. This will hopefully serve as a useful reference as to how you can get in great shape while eating nothing but plants!
